Lauren Harries’ family have issued an update regarding her health – confirming that she is in a “lot of pain” after waking up from an induced coma.
On June 10, a family member confirmed that the Celebrity Big Brother star had spent five days in an induced coma after undergoing brain surgery.
However, in a new update issued by the 45-year-old’s family, it said that the TV personality is still unable to walk.
On Friday (16 June) a tweet was shared with Lauren’s 44,700 followers that stated: “Lauren hasn’t had a seizure for a few days which is a great relief.
“She still can’t walk without help. We are still waiting for tests and her toes are in a lot of pain.”

The post went on to say the personality was a “fighter” and she had been through “so much” recently.
“Thank you to everyone who is staying positive and praying for her. She loves you all,” it concluded.
A picture was also shared with the sentiment, showing Lauren standing barefoot with a mobility aid.
Following the tweet, fans have come out in their droves to support the celebrity and offer her well-wishes.
One Twitter user wrote: “Looking much better than before but it’s a long way to go still, sending warmest wishes to Lauren and yourself.”
A second said: “Well done my (sic) gorgeous brave angel. Onwards and upwards. Sending you much strength and healing hugs.”
Another sent a heartfelt sentiment: “Looking stronger and sorry you are in pain.
“You, your family, and all those that love you have been through an awful time. For you, the worse but your Mum has been with you all the way.
“Not knowing the cause is the worse but you’re seeing the light again,” they concluded.
The update comes after Lauren’s family announced that she had been rushed to hospital for emergency brain surgery back in April.
At the time, Lauren’s mum, Katy, wrote: “Please pray or send good thoughts to my precious daughter Lauren. Who is recovering from emergency brain surgery today.”
Fans will know Lauren from her regular appearances on Big Brother’s Bit On The Side, as well as becoming a Celebrity Big Brother contestant herself in 2013.
