Lana Del Ray has microphone cut off after turning up late

Lana Del Ray fans were left devasted after her Glastonbury performance was cut short last night.

The festival organisers cut the power to her microphone after she turned up 30 minutes late for her set.

The US singer, 38, left her fans feeling frustrated as she took to the stage sparking a wave of boos from the crowd. She claimed the reason she was late was due to her hair taking too long to do.

Speaking to The Mirror, one angry fan explained they nearly left the show after waiting for more than 30 minutes for their idol to show up. They said: “This is messing up everyone’s evening plans as there are other late night acts to see after her!”

Speaking to the crowd, she said: “I was so f****** late that I am about to rush this set.

“If they cut power, they cut power. I’m super f****** sorry, my hair takes so long to do.”

Del Ray also suffered technical difficulties during her performance which meant she had to restart her song White Mustang.

The singer skipped over performing a chunk of her set, including the song Venice Beach.

Del Ray was then forced to lead fans in an Acapella version of her final number Video Games, after the power was shut off due to it reaching midnight.

She conducted the audience as they sang her famous hit before mouthing an apology to the audience and going down to meet and greet them.

Fan Sasha Watkins fan said: “It’s just kind of devastating, because… apparently she did like less than half her set according to the security people and I basically just came to this festival to see her.”

She went on to say “Then you got to (about) midnight and all the screens went black, her mic cut out, everything went black.

“Then the whole audience started singing Video Games together… she was like conducting it, which was really, really amazing. She kind of came and said hello to the people in the front.”
