Kylie Minogue sends baffling reply to prank text from Jonathan Ross’s phone
The talk show host, 62, appeared on the comedian’s, 46, Big Show, which included a variety of performances, skits and practical jokes aimed squarely at the stars.
In a segment named Send To All, Michael seized hold of Wossy’s, who is married to screenwriter Jane Goldman, phone and sent a rather embarrassing text to a slew of A-List contacts.
The message read: ‘Hi Doc, sorry for the late text, but the rash is back. Jane says it smells like cabbage and I can barely sit down.
‘If you can come round NOW I’ll give you any comic of your choosing. Jx’
Looking absolutely thrilled with himself, mischevious Michael began listing off the replies, but, first of all, asked Jonathan how close he was to Shane Richie.
The presenter remarked he believed the EastEnders actor would be surprised to hear from him before a giggling Michael replied he didn’t text – but called five times.
Putting on an Italian accent, Michael next read out Gino D’Acampo’s message, which said: ‘Clearly this message is not for me. It does sound like you and Jane have been having lots of fun. I hope your bum will get better. Big kiss to the family.’
Harry Hill, meanwhile, joked: ‘Savoy or red’ in reference to the cabbage remark, while Big Narstie, who said he was in Spain, fell hook line and sinker for the joke, saying he would sort out Jonathan a prescription.
But the most peculiar reply was from the Princess of Pop herself, with Jonathan beside himself that Michael had dared messaged the Spinning Around hitmaker, 54.
‘Not Kylie, c’mon,’ Jonathan groaned.
She replied: ‘You should listen to doctor’s advice. Out to the shed now. I don’t need any comic that badly.’
Baffled Michael remarked: ‘Out to the shed? What’s going on with Kylie?’, while Jonathan joked: ‘Maybe that’s some sort of Australian cure? They send you out to the sheep when you have a rash.’
Other stars who replied included Julian Clary who informed Jonathan that he’d ‘always smelt like cabbage’ and Alan Carr who ‘offered to take a look.’
Let’s up Jonathan managed to clear that up – the prank we mean of course.
Michael McIntyre’s Big Show continues on Saturday at 8pm on BBC One.
