Even better, he was joined by Sex And The City actor Kyle MacLachlan and Sex Education star Asa Butterfield making for quite the star-studded catwalk.
Jurassic Park actor Jeff moved from movie sets to the catwalk on Sunday as he took centre stage at the Italian fashion designer’s menswear autumn/winter 2022 show at Milan Fashion Week.
The 69-year-old closed the show and injected his trademark humour by emerging hilariously from a purple-lit tunnel, as if surprised to find himself on a runway, then sashayed merrily along.
He dazzled the audience with a strong look, donning a long black overcoat boasting fur trimming at the bottom and on the elbows, contrasted by his silver hair swept over to one side. The actor looked like he was born to do it as he pulled fierce and confident expressions while making his way down the runway.
The Independence Day star was joined by nine other actors, including Kyle MacLachlan, 62, who wore a similar smart overcoat with blue gloves, and Asa Butterfield, 24, who modelled a dark blue blazer coat and matching trousers. It stirred memories of Prada’s iconic 2012 fashion show, which featured the likes of Willem Dafoe, Gary Oldman and Adrien Brody.
Prada’s latest menswear collection in the two-year-old collaboration between Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons as co-creative directors aimed to present elevated versions of everyday pieces.
The designer’s show notes explained: ‘We were thinking about meaningful fashion, pieces that make sense. Clothes that make people feel important, and that are therefore, in themselves, important, not something to discard.’
Reacting to Jeff’s striking look, one fan tweeted: ‘This man lives by his own rules. It’s so refreshing.’
Swooning away, another said: ‘My little heart can’t take this.’
Paying attention to all the little details, one added: ‘He truly knew what facial expression suited the clothing best.’
Another declared: ‘I. Love. That. Man.’
Reviewing Jeff’s modelling talent, one fan quipped: ‘Jeff Goldblum’s Prada walk is “awkward but hot older gentleman on the dance floor at Berghain”.’
