Kriti Sanon to star in ‘Tragedy Queen’ Meena Kumari’s biopic, Manish Malhotra to direct: Report
The talented Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon, who recently graced the silver screen in Adipurush, is all set to portray the legendary Meena Kumari in this upcoming biopic.
According to reports, the esteemed film production company T-Series, led by Bhushan Kumar, is said to be backing the film. Currently, the project is in the process of scripting.
The film aims to honour the captivating life of Meena Kumari, the tragic queen of Indian cinema. According to a report by a leading news portal, Manish Malhotra has frequently expressed that it has been his “long-cherished dream” to recreate the enchanting aura that Meena Kumari possessed.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Kriti has an exciting lineup ahead. She will be seen in Vikas Bahl’s Ganpath – Part 1 with Tiger Shroff and Amitabh Bachchan. She will also be seen in Rhea Kapoor’s The Crew, alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan, Diljit Dosanjh and Tabu. Additionally, she has an untitled film with Shahid Kapoor in the pipeline, slated for release in October 2023. Furthermore, Kriti will also share screen space with Kajol in her debut production venture.
