Knock five years off your face with four-minute routine
Cometic treatment is one way to go if you want to look younger, but it is also possible to shave years off at a low cost. America’s Holistic Plastic Surgeon Dr Youn claimed you can look “five years younger” in just four minutes a day.
He began: “What I’m going to reveal to you today is probably the simplest yet most effective skincare regimen that there may be.”
And Dr Youn’s method is not something that will take you all day – in fact, it’s a simple two-minute task.
The expert advised against buying into products that promise to eradicate wrinkles and take years off your age immediately.
Instead, implement a strict face washing routine for more realistic results, according to Dr Youn.
And this doesn’t involve “slathering seven creams on in the morning and six at night”, but something rather simpler.

Dr Youn explained: “First of all you look at morning and evening. You have to have something you do in the morning and something you do in the evening – you can’t just take care of your skin once a day, unfortunately.”
In the morning, for yournger looking skin, women should be using a cleanser that’s “targeted” to their skin type.
Those with dry skin may benefit from a “milkier”, hydrating cleanser, while those with oily skin would be better off with a foaming cleanser.
However, there is one key thing that women – and men – should never put on their skin if they want that enviably youthful complexion.
He said: “It’s very important not to use bar soap. I know there are a lot of peope, especially men, that just use bar soap to wash thier face.
DON’T MISS
“The problem with bar soap is that it has surfactants and those surfactants will clean your skin and really dry your skin out.”
But what cleanser should we be investing in? Is it a case of, ‘the more expensive the better’?
Dr Youn advised: “Cleansers are a way you can really save your money.”
Rather than buy pricey cleansers from fancy department stores, the expert revealed that cheaper ones such as Cetaphil work just as well.
A 236ml bottle of Cetaphil Face Wash, Gentle Foaming Cleanser, for Dry to Normal, Combination & Sensitive Skin is priced at £9.90 on Amazon.

After your morning cleanse, Dr Youn recommended applying an antioxidant to fight free radicals – “damaging molecules that can attack our bodies”.
The expert recommended a Vitamin C that has not been oxidised.
Next, apply a sunccream – SPF3O or more – to protect the skin from sun damage which is a main cause of premature ageing.
As for the evening, Dr Youn explained that cleaning the skin is an “absolute must”.
“This is really important because all day our skin is developing oil, we’re getting grime, pollution, dirt, all of that stays in our skin.”
On top of this, many women wear makeup, which can also clog the pores of the skin.
Next, Dr Youn recommended a Retin-A or Retinol anti-ageing cream – unless your skin is very dry, in which case opt for a growth factor cream. For a slightly cheaper option, women should invest in a serum with peptides.
Dr Youn’s morning and evening skincare routines should take just two minutes each, meaning less than five minutes of the day is dedicated to skincare.
Once every three days for those with normal skin – and once a week for those who have sensitive skin – the doctor recommended exfoliating the face.
As we age, the skin takes longer to shed, meaning it can have a dryer look. Exfoliating with speed up this process and make the skin softer.
