Kim Woodburn blasts Holly Willoughby and ‘prays’ she leaves This Morning

The 61-year-old announced on Saturday he would be leaving the ITV daytime show with ‘immediate effect’ following days of rumours of a rift.

It had been reported that Phil and the Wylde Moon founder, 42, had been ‘barely speaking’ behind the scenes and that their friendship had ‘dwindled.’

While Phil insisted he was still ‘best friends’ with his Dancing on Ice co-star, Holly never publicly addressed the fallout rumours although paid tribute to him after his departure.

It’s now unclear who will replace Phil on This Morning, while Holly, who will remain on the show, will not present Monday’s show as she goes on an early half-term break.

Weighing in on Phil’s exit, Kim Woodburn told Saturday’s GB News that he had ‘used his common sense’ and left after realising ‘his position was untenable.’

Kim also blasted Holly and said she was ‘hoping and praying’ that she would also quit This Morning.

She said: ‘Now the only thing I’m praying and hoping is that young Miss Holly Willoughby has the common sense to go because she’s not wanted. She cannot continue. You think of Phil and you think of Holly.’

Kim continued to slam Holly for not standing up to Phil when he was being ‘rude’ to guests.

The How Clean Is Your House star has previously lashed out at Holly, calling her ‘two-faced’, and also branded Phil ‘obnoxious.’

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
