Killing Eve season 4: When will it be released in the UK?
The final season of Killing Eve is so close and there’s a real mixture of excitement and sadness.
The BBC show is set to premiere season 4 as viewers prepare to bid goodbye to Villanelle (Jodie Comer) and Eve Polastri (Sandra Oh).
The upcoming final season promises more drama than ever before and answers to the questions we’ve all had about the dynamic duo’s future since the season three finale.
As the popular spy fiction gears up for its final outing, UK viewers are likely wondering where they need to be to ensure they don’t miss out on the action, since the show is produced by BBC America.
Well, do not worry because we’ve got you covered.
When to watch Killing Eve season 4 in the UK
If you’re a UK viewer, you’ll have to wait a little longer than the Americans to watch the s4 premiere – sorry, baby.
But, don’t fret, because the first episode of Killing Eve season 4 will air on BBC One and iPlayer on February 28.
Those in the US can watch the first episode slightly earlier on BBC America on February 27.
BBC themselves confirmed the UK release date back in December, writing on Instagram: ‘Watch Killing Eve on BBC iPlayer in early 2022.
New episodes available weekly straight after it airs on BBC America.’
The fourth and final season will consist of eight episodes, much like the previous seasons.
It has not been confirmed yet when the finale will air but, if one episode lands per week, Killing Eve should end in April, so that’s plenty of time to emotionally prepare yourselves.
What to expect in Killing Eve season 4
The pair have have been the definition of will-they-won’t-they from the start, and a twisted romance is teased in the trailer.
At one point, Eve asks Villanelle: ‘Do you know tat fable about the scorpion and the frog?’
‘They hook up?’ responds Villanelle.
‘They both die. Because the scorpion can’t change its nature,’ Eve says.
‘Maybe you’re the scorpion,’ Villanelle replies.
Who knows if the two will ride off into the sunset together, whether Villanelle will change her ways, or Eve will join her for a life of assassinations.
One thing’s for certain, though – season 4 won’t be void of violence and murder.
‘I killed two people last night after I tried really hard not to,’ Villanelle opens the trailer with.
The next scene sees Eve confessing to shooting someone in the hand.
Returning to the award-winning drama, along with Jodie and Sandra, are Fiona Shaw as Carolyn and Kim Bodnia as Konstantin.
It’s unknown whether Owen McDonnell will put in an appearance as Eve’s husband Niko, meanwhile Camille Cottin has been promoted to the main cast as The Twelve operative Helene.
So, grab your popcorn and get ready for what looks to be a thrilling farewell to everyone’s favourite assassin and intelligence investigator.
Watch Killing Eve on BBC One and iPlayer tomorrow.
