Kid-friendly recipes: How to make dinosaur eggs for an easy snack hack
Sometimes sorting kids’ food isn’t about doing anything complicated, but taking a simple snack and making it magical.
That’s exactly what we’re doing with this hack.
My dinosaur eggs are so fun and great to make with children – so you get an activity and a lunchbox filler in one go.
You’ll just need eggs, food colouring, and water.
Easy peasy. Here’s how it’s done.
Dinosaur eggs recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 eggs
- Red food colouring
- Blue food colouring
- Water
- 2 cups
Method:
- Hardboil your eggs and let them cool
- In two cups, mix a few drops of food colouring with water – one colour in each cup
- Roll your cooked eggs on the table to crush the shells. Don’t worry if bits fall off, that’s better!
- Place your eggs in the cups of food colouring and let sit for around an hour – the longer you leave them, the stronger the colour will be
- Peel away the shells and enjoy
