Kerri-Anne Donaldson’s last pics as sister’s ‘world has collapsed’ after death
Professional dancer and Britain’s Got Talent star Kerri-Anne Donaldson’s final Instagram photos have been revealed, as her older sister Cara Donaldson confirmed news of her death at the age of 38 in a heartbreaking Facebook post.
Cara wrote alongside a gallery of family photos: “My heart hurts and my world has just collapsed around me.
“My beautiful baby sister is no longer with us and I don’t know how to process it.
“I love you Kerri, you’re my best friend, we were inseparable and right now I don’t know how to fill the void. Be peaceful and hold Nan tight.”
Kerri, who reached the semi-final of BGT with her Latin dance troupe Kings and Queens in 2014 alongside Strictly Come Dancing stars Neil and Katya Jones and Kai Widdrington, shared her final posts on Instagram at the beginning of May.

In her last post in view of her 2,793 followers on May 11, Kerri shared a black and white photo from The Open Worlds youth Latin competition at the famous Blackpool Tower Ballroom.
The dancer captioned the snap: “Welcome to the other side,” after taking on a new role on the judging panel at the event.
Just a few days beforehand on May 6, the BGT star explained she felt “strange being on the other side” of the dance floor rather than performing on it.
Sharing a series of photos from the evening in Blackpool, during which she looked beautiful in a black backless gown, Kerri wrote: “An incredible night judging The Open Worlds youth latin at the beautiful Blackpool Tower.
“It’s a strange feeling being on the other side of the floor. Thank you to the organisers for inviting me and congratulations on such a successful event.
“Thank you to my friend @astex_design for whipping me up this incredible dress and @sophies_photography_events for the shots!!”
Kerri’s Strictly pal Karen Hauer had commented on the snaps at the time: “You look beautiful.”
Last night, Kerri’s Strictly colleagues paid tribute to her on social media following the tragic news of her death.
Neil Jones, who danced alongside Kerri as part of Kings and Queens on BGT, posted a photo of her on Instagram and wrote: “Kerri Anne Donaldson- remember that name and please never forget it because it belongs to a woman who loved to dance, create and perform, she had the cheekiest laugh and a heart of gold, she hated getting in the car with me, but would always listen to my crazy ideas, we shared so many moments and stories and she was always the voice of reason.
“Kerri you were my friend and like my big sister.”
Fellow Strictly pro Amy Dowden added: “So shocked and sad @kerri_annedonaldson. Such a beautiful dancer and kind soul.
“Sending love to all your family and friends. Heaven has certainly gained an angel. Keep dancing up there lovely.”
The cause of the dancer’s death has not yet been confirmed.
