After what feels like years of waiting and dodging spoilers, the Barbie movie has finally been released, bringing a giant cloud of pink to the cinema.

Margot Robbie starred as the iconic doll while Ryan Gosling was ‘just Ken’, with the pair introducing us to director Greta Gerwig’s Barbieland.

They were joined by a seriously star-studded cast, including Will Ferrell, Issa Rae, America Ferrera, Michael Cera, Dua Lipa and a very special Love Island cameo from Chris Taylor.

Many movie-goers are planning on undertaking the Barbenheimer double-bill and also squeezing Christopher Nolan’s epic into their cinema trip, and running from one screening to the other.

Worried about whether you’ll need to wait for a post-credits Barbie scene instead of running to the loo before the next showing? We’ve got you covered.

Does Barbie have an end credits scene?

Barbie does not have a post-credits scene, so if you left immediately after the final scene, you wouldn’t be missing out on anything crucial.

However, there is a fun tribute to Barbie dolls of the past, including some that made it into the main movie, set to the soundtrack – including a sample of a very familiar song – that you might enjoy sticking around for.

Will there be a Barbie sequel? What we know so far…

There is no denying that Barbiemania has taken over the world and added a tinge of pink to our lives that we will truly miss when the iconic press tour ends.

At the time of writing, there has been no news on whether we could get another Barbie film on our hands, but you don’t need to pack those dolls away just yet as Greta previously teased even more movies in the future.

The filmmaker told People Magazine of her hopes that the flick could serve as ‘the launch of a world and a bunch of different Barbie movies’.

We are down for them all.

‘There’s a tone and a humor and a joy, and obviously the world is so beautiful,’ she added. ‘I want to go back to Barbie Land.’

Margot also touched on the possibility of reprising her role in an interview with Time Magazine, adding: ‘I think you fall into a bit of a trap if you try and set up a first movie whilst also planning for sequels.

‘It could go a million different directions from this point.’

Well, that’s not a no…

Barbie is in cinemas now.
