KCET 2023 Counselling: Document verification begins today; essential documents and guidelines for admission – Times of India

KCET 2023 Counselling: The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) is set to commence the document verification round for KCET 2023 counselling starting today. The process will continue until July 15, allowing qualified candidates to submit the required documents for admission. The document verification sessions will be divided into three parts: forenoon session 1 (from 9:30 AM to 11 AM), forenoon session 2 (from 11:15 AM to 1:15 PM), and the one afternoon session (from 2 PM onwards).
In order to have their KCET 2023 documents verified for college admissions in the state, candidates must visit the designated centres. Essential documents for verification include the KCET 2023 application form, KCET 2023 hall ticket, Class 10 mark sheet, Class 12 mark sheet, and income certificates.
Candidates who have claimed eligibility under other clauses will be required to appear for offline verification at KEA Bangalore. Furthermore, non-Karnataka candidates who have registered for BSc nursing and have claimed the ‘Y’ clause are exempted from appearing for document verification.
In order to be eligible for online seat allotment, candidates who have passed 2nd PUC / 12th Std. from PUE / CBSE / CISCE / 10+2 or an equivalent examination, and have claimed eligibility clause code as ‘a’ in their UGCET-2023 online application, or meet the eligibility conditions of clause ‘a’, must verify their study certificates, Kannada medium study, rural study, 2nd PU / 12th Std. marks at the respective BEO office attached to their school/college. This should be done on the dates specified on the KEA website, based on their engineering rank, by presenting the original documents.
The KCET 2023 examination was held on May 20 and 21. The result was declared on June 15, 2023.
Here is a list of the documents required for KCET 2023 verification:

  1. UGCET 2023 admission ticket
  2. Final print-out of UGCET 2023 application form
  3. SSLC (Class 10) marks card
  4. 2nd PUC (Class 12) marks card
  5. Study certificate issued by the head of the institution, counter-signed by the concerned Block Educational Officer (BEO) or DDPU, indicating 7 years of study in Karnataka (including 10th or 12th)
  6. Rural Study Certificate (if claiming rural quota) for 10 complete years from Class 1 to Class 10, counter-signed by BEO
  7. Non-Creamy Layer Certificate (NCLC) obtained from the concerned Tahsildar (for general merit students)
  8. Kannada medium study certificate (if claiming Kannada Medium quota) for 10 complete years from Class 1 to Class 10, counter-signed by BEA
  9. Caste/caste income certificate issued by the concerned Tehsildar (if claiming reservation benefits)

Candidates must ensure they carry all the necessary documents as specified by the KCET 2023 guidelines to complete the document verification process successfully. It is essential to follow the instructions and produce the required documents in the specified format to ensure a smooth admission process.
