Strictly Come Dancing star Katya Jones has hit back at reports that she had threatened to quit the show.
The professional dancer was voted off the hit BBC dance show last weekend with celebrity partner Adam Peaty.
But she has slammed reports she had thrown a ‘tantrum’ backstage after finding herself in the dreaded dance-off.

Katya, who has been on the show since 2016 and was first partnered with politician Ed Balls, was sent home last Sunday after she and Adam were eliminated over Tilly Ramsay and her partner Nikita Kuzmin.

The star tweeted this afternoon to set the record straight: “I am a professional dancer on a TV show doing my job which I care passionately about.
“I’m not quitting, I’ve not had a tantrum. I love the show and I shall keep dancing.”
She received a raft of support from fans.
“Full marks out of ten for setting the record straight Katya. Your passion and enthusiasm for dancing is clear for all to see!” said one viewer on Twitter.
“You have so many fans so don’t ever think about quitting @bbcstrictly,” another told her.

“Fans don’t want you to leave for years keep dancing you’re my favourite,” tweeted another.
Katya and Olympic swimmer Adam left the competition after coming in last on Saturday night’s leaderboard.
Judges gave them just 27 points out of a possible 40.
A tearful Katya told him as they departed the dance floor the following evening following a public vote: “I really think you deserve a lot more appreciation for what you’ve done and I was not ready for this.”
Adam’s mum Caroline slammed the result as a ‘total fix’ after the pair were voted off.
Taking to Twitter she said she ‘doesn’t buy the public vote’ as she expressed her opinion and vented her upset. And she wrote that ‘the judging is not consistent or fair.’
The Strictly Come Dancing scoring system combines judges and viewers’ votes.
Addressing Katya, she praised their ‘amazing partnership and told her: “You have taught my baby boy how to dance, thank you x”
She then added with a thumbs down emoji: “Total fix and I’m not buying the public vote.”
When a fellow tweeter told her “at least he was gracious in his defeat, maybe you should take a leaf out of his book?”, she replied “I believe in fairness, it’s frustrating when you can see from the start that it isn’t, that is all.”
And she told another fan of the show: “Everyone is entitled to an opinion, I have watched this show for the first time and I have seen with my own eyes that the judging is not consistent or fair, not just with Adam either!”
Katya replied to thank Caroline for her support.

The gold medallist took to Twitter to blast critics who “tried to bring us down”.
He wrote: “I’m so grateful for everyone who has made this experience so amazing. @tollyramsay you were incredible and I’m so glad you get to show how much of an amazing dancer you are again next week!
“For the people who tried to bring us down throughout the show, please challenge yourself to be better.
“The world needs much more positivity and truth.”
