Katya Jones opens up about meeting ex Neil’s pregnant fiancée
Strictly Come Dancing professionals and dance partners Katya and Neil Jones were married in 2013 after dating for five years. Since their split in 2019, Neil has found love with Love Island star Chyna Mills and recently announced that they are engaged and welcoming their first child later this year.
Nevertheless, there is no bitterness between Katya and Neil and the exes have remained “best friends”.
In an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk, Katya also revealed that Neil shared his baby news with her before revealing it to the world.
She gushed: “It’s wonderful. We are best friends and we definitely would be the first people to each other to share the happy news, so he did tell me before the news came out.
“He is going to be a phenomenal dad; I know him inside out.
As for his wife-to-be, Katya said Neil and Chyna “seem so happy” after meeting the 24-year-old on numerous occasions.
Katya continued: “It is definitely perfect timing and they seem so happy together, I’ve met Chyna multiple times.
“They had dogs but there will be more responsibilities now with the baby and I can’t wait. I already said I’m godmother!
“I’m still part of the family chat and the entire family is extremely happy.”
It comes as Katya and her best friend, Olympian Aimee Fuller, starred in the latest series of Celebrity Hunted.
The Channel 4 show sees famous faces go on the run as fugitives hoping to avoid capture by the Hunters.
Explaining why they wanted to take part, Aimee told us that they “wanted to show that you can be two females that are strong, bold and courageous.”
The dynamic duo will be hosting a special event in honour of the show on April 25 to raise money for Stand Up To Cancer.
The event, which will be held at Chiswick Cinema, will feature a Q&A and a live broadcast of Celebrity Hunted.
