Katie Price’s mum labels ex’s as ‘utterly toxic’ and ‘controlling’

Katie Price’s mother has spoken out about her daughter’s exes, including ex-husband Peter Andre and labelled them “utterly toxic”.

Amy, 71 has written a new tell-all book titled, The Last Word for charity where she’s shared her true feelings on her daughter’s love life.

She spoke exclusively to The Sun where she called Katie’s first husband Peter Andre ‘controlling’.

During the interview, she said: “For example, I think it’s fair to say from my point of view that Dane Bowers and Peter Andre were men who liked to be in control and prioritised furthering their own careers.

“In my view, they used their relations with Kate for their own gains and quit while they were ahead.”

Katie Price, 45, met her first husband Peter Andre, 50, when they appeared together on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here back in 2004.

The couple married a year later and went on to have two children together, Junior, 17, and Princess, 15. Peter also became stepfather to Katie’s son Harvey, 21 whose biological father is ex-footballer Dwight Yorke.

However, in 2009 the couple split after it was claimed they had a furious row about her secret night out with riding instructor Andrew Gould.

Later in 2009 Katie then went on to marry cage fighter Alex Reid but split after just 11 months.

Her third husband was Kieran Hayler who she married in 2013 but split in 2018 after he was caught cheating with the couple’s nanny and her two best friends.

In the book, Katie’s mum referred to both Alex and Keirn as “complex exhibitionists” who preyed on her whilst she was at her lowest.

She also claims that Katie’s current on-off boyfriend Carl Woods is the same.

She went on to tell The Sun: “I always remember Alex referring to himself as Mrs Katie Price and that says it all. Kieran and Carl [Woods, ex-fiancé] are also men who crave fame and have used Kate as a springboard for their social media feeds.

Amy was diagnosed with the terminal lung condition idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis in 2017. The book tells the story of her daughter’s rise to fame as well as looking at her life and relationships from the point of view of an ‘ordinary working-class mum watching from the sidelines’.
