Katie Price’s ex says he didn’t give permission for kids to be in C4 series
The My Crazy Life star is tackling a huge refurbishment in her new series, after her infamous Mucky Mansion fell into disrepair.
All five of her children feature – her eldest, Harvey, Junior and Princess, who she shares with Peter Andre, and Jett and Bunny, who she shares with Kieran.
However, Kieran’s rep told The Mirror: ‘Mr Hayler did not receive any communication from Channel 4 seeking his consent to sign off the children’s appearance before the airing of this week’s programme.
‘One would expect protocol to be adhered to especially in light of children being filmed without consent of both parties involved, as per Channel 4’s own guidelines.’
Channel 4 told Metro.co.uk: ‘The production company sought and obtained the appropriate permissions for all minors appearing in the series.’
In the broadcaster’s guidelines for filming with minors, it states: ‘Ideally, both parents’ consents should be sought for the under-16’s contribution, or from those who have ‘parental responsibility’ for the under-16.
‘However, this may not always be possible or practicable. If an under-16’s parents are divorced or separated, parental consent should, in the first instance, be sought from the parent the child resides with and anyone who has ‘parental responsibility’.’
Katie’s new documentary shows her mission to refurbish the 19-room mansion, which has been plagued by collapsing ceilings, damp and mould after she bought it for £1.3million in 2014.
The first episode saw her doing up Jett’s room.
Katie and Kieran got married in 2013, before splitting in 2018.
Metro.co.uk has contacted reps for Katie Price for comment.
