Kieran, 36, shares two children with the former glamour model, 44 – nine-year-old Jett and eight-year-old Bunny.
He’s also a father to baby boy Apollo, who was born to partner Michelle Penticost, 41, last year.
A spokesperson for Sussex Police told The Mirror: ‘A man has been arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and child neglect.
‘He has been taken into custody for questioning.’
The force refused to issue further comment.
A source close to Kieran also told the outlet that he was assisting officers with their enquiries.
In additional reports, The Sun claims cops pulled up at the personal trainer’s home in West Sussex at around 4pm yesterday (April 7).
One resident told the outlet that the situation was ‘very dramatic’.
‘We later heard it involved a gun which was quite frightening,’ a neighbour said.
This isn’t the first time Kieran has been questioned by police as, in December last year, there were reports that he had assisted cops with their enquiries before being let go.
It remains unclear what the questions were regarding, and what enquiries he was assisting with.
There were also reports that Kieran had accused ex Katie of ‘harassment’.
Things also got murky earlier last year when Katie was taken to court after sending Kieran text messages about his new fiancée that broke a restraining order.
Katie and Kieran enjoyed a whirlwind romance, as the couple wed in the Bahamas in January 2013 just two months after meeting.
But it all came crashing down when it was revealed that Kieran had affairs with Katie’s friends Jane Pountney and Chrissy Thomas.
Kieran received therapy for sex addiction and the couple worked on their relationship.
However, Katie filed for divorce after discovering Kieran had allegedly been having another affair with the children’s nanny.
The nanny, Nikki Brown, denied the affair.
Sussex Police and reps for Kieran Hayler have been contacted for comment.
