Kate Middleton caught on camera making rare remarks about Princess Diana

Kate Middleton has been caught on camera discussing her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana.

The royal, who recently inherited the Princess of Wales title previously held by Diana, spoke with fans in Aberfan, Wales, on Thursday when she was recorded making the remarks.

Middleton, 41, usually maintains a dignified silence about Diana, but appeared more than happy to speak about the beloved late royal when asked about her engagement ring.

Prince William, 40, famously proposed to Middleton with a 12-carat blue sapphire engagement ring that was previously owned by Diana.

“It was exactly the same size,” Middleton was seen saying in footage uploaded to Instagram. “It is very special. What an honor to be able to wear it.”

About Diana, who died in a car crash in Paris in 1997, Middleton further stated: “I never met her, sadly.”

However, the princess declared that Diana would have made a “brilliant grandmother” and added that she is “missed every day.”

Middleton’s comments sent royal watchers into a frenzy, with many cooing over the princess.

“She really is class personified! ” one cheered.

“I don’t think I’ve ever seen Kate talk about Diana — more of this please!!” another remarked.

Meanwhile, a third chimed in: “Seeing her talk about her ring and how she’s honored to wear it, you can see how genuine she is.”

Middleton won over more fans on Friday as she continued her charm in Wales.

She and Prince William have been in Aberfan honoring victims of a 1966 landslide that killed 144 people in the village.

Earlier today, the mom-of-three was spotted smiling as a baby grabbed her $845 Mulberry handbag and began playing with it during another meet-and-greet.

The trip to Wales is expected to be one of Middleton’s last public appearances before King Charles’ coronation on May 6.

The princess will come face-to-face with her estranged brother-in-law, Prince Harry, who is expected to fly in for the historic ceremony without his wife, Meghan Markle.

Royal author Tom Bower recently speculated that Middleton “blocked” Markle from attending the event.

Meanwhile, Robert Jobson, another royal author, claimed Middleton is “eaten up” about missing Queen Elizabeth’s last moments and blames Markle for Middleton not being allowed at the monarch’s bedside at Balmoral, Scotland, before the queen’s death last September.
