Kareena Kapoor to play a character inspired by Kate Winslet in her upcoming film

In her upcoming movie, Kareena Kapoor will play a role that draws inspiration from Kate Winslet’s Emmy-winning performance in the web series Mare of Easttown. The actor has finished her most recent project, which was directed by Hansal Mehta. She portrays a mother and detective who is tasked with investigating a homicide in a rural area of Buckinghamshire. The Buckingham Murders is the tentative title for the upcoming movie.

Kareena will make her production debut with the movie, which is made by Balaji Telefilms and Mahana Film. The actor revealed that Balaji Telefilms’ Ekta Kapoor and director Hansal persuaded her to join as a producer. 80 per cent of the dialogue in the movie, according to Kareena, is in English, and 20 per cent is in Hindi.

In an interview, Kareena discussed her involvement in The Buckingham Murders and stated, “I love Mare of Easttown and when Hansal came to me, I said this is something that I’ve really been dying to do. So we’ve moulded a little bit on those lines. I play a detective cop. It’s the first time that I’ve dabbled in that.”

Along with the murder investigation, Kareena has also finished Sujoy Ghosh’s The Devotion of Suspect X, an official adaptation of the well-known book by Japanese author Keigo Higashino. Kareena makes her OTT debut in the movie, which also stars Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma.

Kareena will start filming for The Crew in March in addition to The Buckingham Murders and The Devotion of Suspect X. The movie, which was directed by Rajesh Krishnan, also features Tabu and Kriti Sanon. The actor claimed it was entirely distinct from her other two movies and would have all the gloss and glitz of her earlier work. “A comedy chick flick heist film,” she described it as.
