Kareena Kapoor Khan states that her work in Chameli, Omkara, Heroine, and Yuva are underappreciated
Jab We Met by Imtiaz Ali is still a fan favourite despite being more than 15 years old. The portrayal of the main character Geet by Kareena Kapoor is still praised, and many consider it to be one of her best performances.
The actor recently noted that despite her work on Chameli, Omkara, Heroine, and Yuva being overlooked, Poo from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham continues to earn appreciation. When asked why every movie she does is compared to her renowned performance in Jab We Met during a recent interview with a top entertainment website, Kareena responded: “Of course, it will always be compared to Poo and Geet, they are iconic I understand. Everybody is going to compare. But I feel like people should talk about Chameli, Omkara, and Heroine, they are pretty underrated in terms of my performance, Yuva too. Why don’t people talk about that.”
Comparing Jab We Met to ghar ki khichdi, she said: You see it again and again, there’s always something new, it doesn’t seem like an old film. That’s a rarity, every time you watch it’s like you are watching it for the first time. It’s just the character.”
The actress, who most recently starred alongside Aamir Khan in Laal Singh Chaddha, claimed that her part in the upcoming The Devotion of Suspect X will represent a new creative high point for her.
