Kaka rates Chelsea’s win against AC Milan and slams former side
Brazil legend Kaka praised ‘very consistent’ Chelsea for their performance in a 3-0 win against AC Milan at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday and admits the Blues ‘deserved’ to beat his former side.
Milan are back in Europe’s elite competition for just the second time in eight years following their Serie A victory last season.
But the Italians have picked up just four points from their opening three group stage matches this term and they underwhelmed in west London.
Milan will likely need to beat Chelsea in the reverse fixture next week if they’re to stand a chance of reaching the last-16 and Kaka says his former side were deservedly beaten by the Blues.
‘Chelsea deserved that result,’ said Kaka.
‘I think they have a very consistent game they controlled the game the whole time. They didn’t create many opportunities but they took advantage of the opportunities they they had.
‘Most of them [chances] conceded by Milan and we were talking about the absence of the players and it’s important to keep the players that couldn’t play tonight but for Milan it was a poor game.
‘No actions, a bad result and only one chance at the end of the first chance with leao and part of that not much more. for me there wasn’t a connection between midfield and attack, also because of that we saw poor game of Giroud because he didn’t see many balls from the game.
‘If Milan wants to have a good Champions League there is another game against Chelsea again then Clasico against Juve on the weekend so it’s important ten days for Milan.’
