Justin Timberlake blasted for role in Britney Spears, Janet Jackson downfalls

Now, this is some “Cry Me a River” poetic justice.

Britney Spears and Janet Jackson fans are virtually waterboarding Justin Timberlake with claims the “What Goes Around … Comes Around” crooner doubled as the evil villain in both pop divas’ mid-2000s fairytales.

“I think the next docuseries should be titled ‘Justin Timberlake: You Ain’t S–t!’ The Britney Spears and Janet Jackson documentaries proves that!!!” tweeted one ticked-off detractor. “Happy to see Justin Timberlake being exposed (again!) because he is only as relevant as he is because he stood on top of powerful females like Britney and Janet,” wrote another

The digital diatribe against Timberlake, 40, comes in the wake of jolting New York Times documentaries that detail the dismantling of 39-year-old Spears’ and 55-year-old Jackson’s respective music careers in the mid-2000s — destructions in which the “SexyBack” singer seemingly played leading roles.

“Framing Britney Spears” recalls Timberlake’s willingness to subtly scapegoat the “Baby One More Time” songstress for their earth-shattering March 2002 breakup.

At the time, the former N’Sync frontman-turned-soloist sensationalized the release of his debut album “Justified” by spurring suspicions that Spears cheated on him in interviews and with damning lyrics like: “You don’t have to say what you did / I already know / I found out from him.” He also famously hired a Spears doppelgänger to star as the antagonist in visuals for his legendary cuckold-heartbreak hymn.

And when he wasn’t busy calling the “Oops” chanteuse’s loyalty into question, Timberlake would often tease out salacious tidbits about their sex life in the media.

Spears — who was recently released from a 13-year conservatorship held by her father, Jamie Spears — was left to face mass scrutiny, while Timberlake was heralded as a champion for bedding the chart-topping beauty.

And the “Rock Your Body” boomer seemingly had an equally indecent hand in Jackson’s toppling.

The docuseries “Malfunction: The Dressing Down of Janet Jackson” thoroughly explores his and the “Scream” songstress’ notorious nip-slip during their 2004 Super Bowl halftime show performance.

The incident — which saw Timberlake yank off a piece of Jackson’s costume to momentarily expose her breast — resulted in five-time Grammy-winning megastar Jackson being vilified and shunned by the entertainment industry.

Timberlake, however, escaped the mishap unscathed. He even made light of the event during concerts.

But — after decades of dodging retribution and benefitting from institutionalized racism, sexism and misogyny — his day of reckoning appears to be dawning on Twitter.

“When Justin Timberlake capitalized Janet Jackson’s misfortune #JusticeForJanet,” an incensed commenter tweeted along with a video of Timberlake joking about the Super Bowl drama during one of his shows.

“Waiting on a #BritneySpears  and #JanetJackson collab where they both drag Justin Timberlake. I’d play that on a loop. #JusticeForJanet,” a supporter of the female music powerhouses penned

“The biggest take away I learned from the NYT docs about Britney and Janet? Justin Timberlake is the epitome of white male privilege in American society,” ranted another

Representatives for Justin Timberlake did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for a comment on the chaos.
