‘Just devastated’: Travis’ emotional video

Travis Scott has made an emotional video message through a string of Instagram stories following the deadly stampede at his Astroworld concert.

Travis Scott has made an emotional video message through a string of Instagram stories following the deadly stampede at his Houston Astroworld concert, which left eight people dead and some 300 injured.

The remarks marked the rapper’s first public comments about the calamity since he issued a carefully worded statement Saturday morning.

“I’m absolutely devastated by what took place last night,” he said in the initial statement, sending prayers to the families and people impacted by what happened at the Astroworld Festival.

He also pledged to do everything he could to support the community in its healing process and said he was assisting officials with its investigations.

Now, in a string of Instagram videos, Scott said he wants to “send out prayers to the ones that was lost last night.”

“We’re actually working right now to identify the families so we can help them through this tough time,” he said in the grainy black and white video.

The rapper addressed criticism that he continued with his performance as fans surged in the deadly stampede, and others yelled “stop the show.”

“Anytime I could make out, you know, anything that’s going on, you know I stop the show and, you know, help them get the help they need,” he said.

“I could just never imagine the severity of the situation,” Scott added.

“I’m honestly just devastated and I could never image anything like this just happening.”

Earlier, a source told the New York Post that the 30-year-old is “beside himself” after learning of the tragedies, with a source close to the star claiming he had “no idea” what was going on in the 50,000 person crowd.

“He’s really upset — he had no idea what was going on, he was on stage performing,” the source told the NY Post.

“He’s beside himself, I’ve never heard him like that. He was in tears.”

Meanwhile, video of Scott’s girlfriend Kylie Jenner and their three-year-old daughter Stormi, along with Kendall Jenner has gone viral on Tik Tok dancing and waving while he performs.

The video, which has had more than 200k views, shows the trio behind barricades with the toddler wearing headphones and waving to the crowd.

Pregnant Jenner was earlier criticised for posting a series of videos to her own Instagram story of Scott performing, including one which showed an ambulance making its way through the crowd of concertgoers.

She has since deleted the footage after being slammed by social media users who labelled it “insensitive”.

It is understood neither Kylie, Kendall and Stormi were injured.

Authorities investigating the deadly stampede the Houston concert confirmed claims of “needle spiking” – a horrifying new take on drink spiking where unsuspecting people are injected with an unknown substance.

Police are investigating if the terrifying new trend could be behind the crowd surging that led to the deaths of at least eight people and injured hundreds more at Astroworld Festival.
