Julia Bradbury inundated with messages as she shares health hack following cancer op

Julia Bradbury, 51, has issued an update on her health after she underwent a double mastectomy in October. Julia, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in July, has been sharing her cancer journey with fans.

Taking to Twitter this evening, the Countryfile presenter told her 159,000 followers she was planning a “rock and roll” evening and filmed herself pouring a shot.

In the clip, Julia said: “It is Friday night so I am having a shot…of olive oil.

“Cheers everyone, welcome to my new rock and roll lifestyle.”

Alongside the video, Julia explained why she was taking a shot of olive oil in the caption.

She penned: “My new rock and roll: an olive oil shot. 

“The phenolics in olive oil have antioxidant, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties.”

She added that she has it a few times a week and enjoys making olive oil and lemon dressing for salads.

According to Healthline, chronic inflammation is thought to be a leading driver of diseases such as cancer, heart disease, metabolic syndrome, type 2 diabetes, Alzheimer’s, arthritis and obesity.

Peter added: “Try this hangover cure but also is supposed to rejuvenate your liver. Works for me.”

Lily said: “You’re looking well, Julia! Glad you’re on the mend, you’re an inspiration to my mum and I.”

Earlier this week, Julia revealed to fans that she had enjoyed her first day out with family since her operation.

She visited the Hive installation at Kew Gardens and said it was the “perfect” place for her.

Sharing the news on Instagram, Julia wrote: “The Hive has been created to remind us of the powerful role bees play in sustaining life.

“Love bees, love Kew.

“PS one of my first days out with the [family] since my op & have to say it’s the perfect place for me. Them.

“Trees. Green space. Tired now.”
