Journalism & Mass Comm course offers excellent opportunities: MDU VC – Times of India

ROHTAK: Journalism & Mass Communication offers excellent career opportunities. But to make a successful career in this area, students must have technical skills, communication skills, and media related domain skills. This was stated by Vice-Chancellor of Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) Prof. Rajbir Singh in an interactive lecture programme in the department of Journalism & Mass Communication here on Wednesday.
Encouraging students to take pride in their course, Prof Rajbir Singh said that he comes from the same department and could achieve many firsts due to his background in journalism and mass communication
and students from this department have an advantage to achieve more in their career and life.
Urging students to participate more actively and leave no stones unturned in learning more and honing their skills in the conducive environment present around them, Prof Rajbir Singh said that he promises them to take care of their needs to get them going and achieve more in their professional career.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Rajbir Singh released a YouTube channel and Podcast of the department of Journalism & Mass Communication on the occasion. He congratulated the department on this new initiative.
MDU VC said that the newly established facility of TV Studio/ Radio Studio must be utilized for hands-on practical training to students, and in developing E-contents for digital education. He appealed to the department’s faculty members to rope in local media persons so that students in the department can get more exposure and talent in the industry.
HoD (Journalism & Mass Communication) Prof. Harish Kumar delivered the welcome address. He highlighted the progress journey of the Department. He expressed the gratitude of MDU VC for providing administrative support to the Department for its growth journey.
Assistant Professor Dr. Naveen Kumar shared the details of the YouTube channel and Podcast of the Department. Assistant Professor Sumedha Dhani expressed the vote of Thanks. Assistant Professor Sunit Mukherjee conducted the programme.
Research scholars and students of the department attended this Special Lecture programme.
