Jordan Banjo welcomes third child with wife one day before I’m A Celeb

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! star Jordan Banjo has welcomed his third child with his “angel” wife Naomi.

The pair announced the happy news this morning one day before the star appears on our screens in the South Africa-based, all-star series of the ITV show.

Sharing a sweet snap of his wife cuddling their newborn, he revealed their baby’s mythological name.

“Atreus Funso Banjo,” he wrote with a heart emoji. “20.04.2023 8lb 8oz.”

The former Britain’s Got Talent star added: “I’m so proud of you @naomibanjo, my angel, my wife and the most incredible mum to our children, thank you for our 3 beautiful children, a gift I can never repay, I love you.”

In view of his 580,000 Instagram followers, Jordan went on to share a reel, which showed the pair visiting the hospital ahead of little Atreus’ birth.

Later on, their adorable son Cassius, four, and daughter Mimi, three, also joined them at the hospital to meet their new baby brother.

After an eventful day, the family returned home where mum-of-three Naomi was greeted by balloons and a big sign to welcome their newest bundle of joy.

Jordan spoke exclusively to Express.co.uk a few months ago about how he felt about welcoming a third child.

“I’m excited, already tired,” The Eat Well for Less presenter revealed. “Everyone always says to you, ‘Oh you won’t get any sleep’, and – I’ll be honest with you – I’m the first one to be like, ‘Oh stop going on about it mate.’

“But, trust me – you don’t get much sleep, you don’t. I think it’ll be a bit better this time in terms of sleep and rest because we’ll be a bit more relaxed.”

Jordan went on to explain how his fears as a first-time dad led to a lot of sleepless nights when his son Cassius was born.

The star said: “I think when you have your first baby, the reason you don’t sleep is partly that they’re up through the night and partly because you’re so paranoid about anything happening.

“You’re literally sat there staring at them. But I think this time on our third one everything can be a bit more relaxed and hopefully just go smoothly.”

Jordan and Naomi finally tied the knot last year after two years of lockdown had put their nuptials on hold – and the star reflected on how impossibly “perfect” the day turned out to be.

The pair wed in Ashridge House in Hertfordshire, which was the former royal residence of King Henry VIII and his daughter Princess Elizabeth I, last summer.

The special, all-stars edition of I’m A Celeb will be kicking off tomorrow, with the likes of former contestants such as Jordan, Carol Vorderman, Flanagan and Amir Khan all taking part once more.

The South Africa-based series presented by Ant & Dec will not be filmed live, which means Jordan will have plenty of time to spend with his adorable newborn.
