The TV star posted a snap of himself and his boys whizzing around on an electric cargo bike, with Rex, Rafa and Cormac all grinning while sitting in the three-wheeler’s big wooden box.
Doting dad Jonnie explained that he’s ‘a lot weaker these days’ – hence the electric power assistance – but thanks to the added support could cycle ‘pretty much anywhere’.
The former A Place In The Sun presenter, 49, announced in November 2022 that he could have ‘months to live’ after being diagnosed with terminal cancer, with the disease having spread from his lungs to his brain.
But he was all smiles in his latest Instagram post, shared on Monday, which he captioned: ‘Since delivery of our @babboe_cargobike it’s been out most days.’
Jonnie added: ‘I’m obviously a lot weaker these days and would never be strong enough to cart these ankle biters around but with electric power assistance I can pretty much go anywhere.’
He went on: ‘The boys love it and it’s made the nursery run fun (if I’m up in time) it’s probably cut our car use by about 50% so obviously much greener so hopefully making up for some of the naughty motors in my past.
‘For me it’s allowed me to get more involved #gamechanger.’
He shares his three sons with his wife Jessica Holmes.
Since publicly announcing his cancer diagnosis, Jonnie’s been giving updates about his health, most recently with an appearance on Morning Live where he spoke about receiving care in a hospice.
The Escape to the Country star has also been keeping his fans up to date with his personal life on Instagram over the past few weeks, from a trip to the Ashes to a rare public appearance at an award show.
