John Lewis reveals its top 10 toys for Christmas 2023

With it being July, it might seem a little early to be thinking about Christmas gifts, but planning ahead with spending budgets is always a good idea – especially with money feeling particularly tight this year.

To give you a little inspiration, John Lewis has unveiled its annual list of the best toys to buy for Christmas 2023 – with prices starting from £14.99.

And there are a few key trends that stick out with this year’s round-up.

It’s hardly a surprise that Barbie sales are up at the retailer by 31%, compared to this time last year.

But Barbie isn’t the only nostalgic toy having a resurgence, as Furbies are also back in a big way – and both toys feature in the top 10 list for this year.

Elsewhere in the top picks you’ll find a Cockapoo dog, a DJ mix and learn deck, a barber role play set and a wooden café.

These toys have all been selected by kids aged five to 10 after hours of playtime, so they won’t disappoint when Christmas Day eventually rolls around.

It’s also worth pointing out that lots of these toys aren’t available to buy just yet – with many coming out at the end of August – but a couple have already hit the shelves.
