Jeremy Renner shares update after getting ‘inspired’ by daughter

Jeremy Renner, 52, has been steadily documenting his recovery since a near-fatal accident on New Year’s Day left him with over 30 broken bones and in critical condition after being crushed by his snowplow.

The Hawkeye star’s most recent update on Instagram revealed to his 20.7 million followers that he had officially returned to his Avengers-level workout.

The actor lifted and performed some dumbbell rows as his heavy breathing punctuated each rep.

Although it wasn’t clear how heavy the dumbbell was, the scraping sound it made as he pulled it along the tiled floor towards his other arm was enough to leave fans gawking at just how far he has come.

Also on his Instagram story on Wednesday, the actor shared some inspiring post-it notes his 10-year-old daughter had left in his home gym to keep him motivated as he recovers.

In a chunky marker, young Ava wrote: “Hi beautiful,” with a smiley face and signed off with a heart, sticking the note to a mirror.

Jeremy wrote over the snap: “My daughter inspires me…What inspires you?”

He later found another note from Ava, this time on the TechnoGym monitor of his treadmill which read: “Just keep running, just keep running!” with another heart.

The actor shared: “She leaves me post it notes all over to keep me going!!”

Another heartwarming clip Jeremy shared last week showed little Ava helping him walk down a few stairs, which he titled: “Love and titanium.”

In an interview with People earlier this month, Jeremy’s sports physician Dr Christopher Vincent revealed that little Ava, who the actor shares with his ex-wife Sonni Pacheco, has been one of his “strongest motivators” throughout the difficult recovery process.

Vincent shared: “I’ve seen so many people with injuries way less [severe] than Jeremy had, and they just give up.”

Jeremy revealed that his family has been rallying behind him in the four months since his accident, even down to his young nephew Auggie.

The actor shared on his Instagram highlight reel LOVE a candid handwritten note from Auggie saying: “I am very lucky because my uncle is hawk eye (witch is one of the Avengers). I am also very lucky that my uncle is alive from his accident.” (sic)
