Jeremy Renner is continuing to amaze everyone with his recovery following his almost fatal snowplough crush.

The Marvel star, 52, is lucky to be alive after he was crushed by the vehicle on New Year’s Day.

In an immense act of bravery to save his nephew, the Hawkeye star ended up breaking more than 30 bones when he was hit by and ‘pulled under’ the snowplough.

He then spent almost three weeks in hospital before being discharged and, after fears he would never walk again, has since made his first red carpet appearance and constantly wowed his fans with his progress.

Taking to Instagram on Friday (May 5), the actor shared an update.

Filming himself at his home gym, the US star worked on a series of squats and leg exercises.

In the short clip, he used a pulley connected to a machine to work his muscles, having fractured his tibia, which is the shin bone.

He used the pulley to hop from side to side before switching to a few sets of pull-ups and then running motions, stretching out his calf muscles.

Jeremy penned in the caption: ‘UPDATE: I’ve decided to push through the pain of progress (this damn shattered tibia) and take the new parts for a tiny test drive.

‘The body is miraculous…. Even though I feel like the Tin Man, needing oil for all my new joints (hips, knees, ankles, tibia etc ) . Encouraged after this warm up to press on ( don’t tell my PT). ????.’

His fans and famous friends took to the comments to cheer him on.

‘That’s the stuff!!! ❤️❤️❤️’, praised Ryan Reynolds.

Marvel star Clark Gregg commented: ‘Let’s go!!!! ????????????’.

‘I’m so proud of you. You didn’t let your injuries or the accident keep you down. Keep up the good work ????’, one fan added.

‘Fight on Hawkeye! Us fellow warriors are with you’, another encouraged.

It’s hard to believe Jeremy was in intensive care just a few months ago, as he also recently revisited the medical staff who took care of him to say thank you.

Documenting the visit on social media, the actor shared pictures with workers at Renown Regional Medical Centre in Reno last month.

‘I got to revisit the amazing group of people who saved my life,’ he wrote alongside a snap of him with the medical staff, followed by several praying hands and red heart emoji.

Despite all the pain it’s caused him, Jeremy has insisted he has no regrets about the accident, in which he saved his nephew’s life.

In fact, he’d do it again.

In an interview with Diane Sawyer on ABC, he recalled being ‘awake for every moment of the crash, saying it was ‘my mistake and I paid for it’.

‘It’s exactly how you imagine it would feel,’ he said, adding: ‘It felt like someone took the wind out of you.’

Recalling the moments following the crush, Jeremy remembered looking at his leg in shock and thinking it was ‘going to be a problem’.

He added that while he can still be ‘triggered’ by memories of the accident, he refuses to be ‘haunted’ by it and has ‘no regrets’.

‘I would do it again.’ he said defiantly.
