Jeremy Clarkson ‘sparks animal welfare concern’ with Instagram post

An innocent Instagram post by Jeremy Clarkson showing an image of his wife Lisa Hogan in a strange pose has sparked a comical furore about animal welfare.

The star of Clarkson’s Farm, a massive Amazon Prime hit, took a picture of his other half performing a ‘Volkswagen badge’ posture.

He uploaded it to his social media account, which has over six million followers.

But it wasn’t Lisa’s gymnastic-type position – where she lay flat on her back, with her legs crossed in the air, with her hands holding opposite feet – that had Clarkson’s fans in a stupor, more what she was using as her ‘yoga mat’.

Laid out on the stone flooring underneath Lisa, who first met her husband in 2017 through a mutual friend, looked like animal fur.

Most people who saw the image thought it was a dead dog, with Instagram wags quick to share their thoughts in reply to Clarkson’s initial post.

“Is that a squashed husky underneath?,” asked one curious onlooker,.

Another added: “The poor dog must be feeling it too, looks completely flattened.”

Someone else wrote: “On tonight’s program, I anger people with words… Richard crashes a car. James has a crisis, and a woman crushes a dog while exercising.”

There was also: “Forget Lisa, what happened to the dog?!”, while another follower penned: “The lovely and talented Lisa.

“It appears she’s crushed one of the dogs.”
