JEE Advanced 2023 result announced, V C Reddy tops the exam – Times of India

GUWAHATI: IIT Hyderabad zone produced six rank holders in top-10 in JEE Advanced 2023, results of which were declared at 10 am on Sunday. Two candidates, each from IIT Delhi and IIT Roorkee zone secured positions in top 10.
The percentage of negative marking questions was less this year compared to previous years and institute officials said this could have resulted in higher cut-off in the exam.
In the common rank list, Vavilala Chidvilas Reddy is the first rank holder. He is from IIT Hyderabad zone and scored 341 out of 360. Last year, the JEE Advanced topper got 314 marks.
Among female candidates, Nayakanti Naga Bhavya Sree is the topper. She scored 298 out of 360 marks. Nayakanti, also from IIT Hyderabad zone, stood at 56 th rank in the common rank list. Both the toppers want to pursue computer science engineering, as they had a brief conversation with the host institution.
“A total number of 180372 candidates appeared in both papers 1 and 2 in JEE (Advanced) 2023. In this exam, 43773 candidates have been qualified. Out of the total qualified candidates, 7509 are the female candidates,” said IIT Guwahati officiating director Prof. PK Iyer.
Highest 10432 candidates qualified the coveted exam from IIT Hyderabad zone, followed by 9290 from IIT Delhi zone and 7957 from IIT Bombay zone.
Total 139727 male candidates appeared in both papers and 36264 qualified, while of the 40645 female candidates appeared, 7509 qualified.
