Japanese Film Festival India to Screen Makoto Shinkai Films, Radwimps Performances in Four Cities

The Japanese Film Festival India (JFF) has announced that it will screen Makoto Shinkai’s films in India in four cities. The festival also announced that Radwimps’ performance will also be shown, and is calling the festival Japan Film & Music Festival.

The following appeared in a trailer posted on the JFF’s social media for the event:

• The Garden of Words
• Children Who Chase Lost Voices
• The Place Promised in Our Early Days
• 5 Centimeters per Second
• Weathering With You
• Radwimps Forever in the Daze Tour 2021-2022

The screenings for Japan Film & Music Festival will be held on these dates in the following cities in PVR Cinemas:

• Delhi: November 4-6
• Mumbai: November 11-13
• Chennai: November 25-27
• Bengaluru: December 9-11

Tickets will go live starting October 19. In March this year, the festival screened the anime films Poupelle of Chimney Town, Josee, the Tiger and the Fish, and a 4K remaster of Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama in Delhi. It also screened live-action Japanese films such as Liar x Liar, Not Quite Dead Yet, Wife of a Spy, Talking the Pictures, Under the Open Sky, Ai Amok, Step, and The Night Beyond the Tricornered Window at the festival.
