Janice Dickinson brands Shaun Ryder a ‘pig’ minutes after meeting on I’m A Celeb

Janice Dickinson and Shaun Ryder didn’t exactly get off to the best start in I’m A Celebrity South Africa.

Both back for round two, the jungle icons join hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly for a wild adventure in South Africa, with other famous campmates also returning.

Helen Flanagan, Jordan Banjo, Amir Khan, Fatima Whitbread, and more will go head-to-head in a bid to be crowned the very first I’m A Celebrity legend.

To do that, however, they have to take on some pretty nasty Bushtucker Trials.

In true I’m A Celeb style, former model Janice, 68, and Happy Mondays singer Shaun, 60, were thrown in at the deep end straight away and had to take on a trial before even changing out of their glad rags.

And Janice – who wasn’t one to mince her words the first time in 2007 – had some choice words for Shaun, branding him a ‘pig.’

Shaun Ryder

Just moments after meeting, the pair had to compete against snakes and cockroaches for their first challenge, alongside Paul Burrell, 64.

Named Trees of Torment, the trial was exactly as horrendous as you’d expect, causing Paul and Janice to let out shrieks of terror.

Shaun found the whole thing rather amusing, and started laughing.

At this point, a furious Janice yelled at him: ‘Stop laughing, you pig!’

In a further rant off camera, the US star appeared bewildered by who Shaun and Paul even were. Ouch.

‘I’ve just met two campmates and the seem to be such nice guys,’ she said.

‘I wish I knew who they were.’

Clearly she hasn’t watched any other series!

It wasn’t long before Janice was quizzing her fellow campmates on what they do for a living.

‘I’ve had to go up and say, “Can I know what you’re famous for? What’s your celebrity?”,’ she added.

She also asked Helen Flanagan, 32: ‘Tell me what you’re in for.’

And to Phil Tufnell, 56, she says: ‘What did you do to get in here?’

No clue who Olympian Fatima Whitbread was either, she asked the London-born athlete, 62: ‘Are you Italian?’

The series has barely begun and there have already been fireworks, with previous reports saying Carol Vorderman, 62, had an ‘explosive clash’ with Janice.

Sources claimed that the two stars had a tense exchange over the Royal Family after Janice voiced her opposition towards the crown.

‘It was a really explosive bust-up… Janice was effing and blinding,’ an insider told the Mirror.

‘She said Carol’s views were old-fashioned and dated while Carol hit back that Janice was crass and obnoxious. She and Carol are both strong women with strong opinions. It was a personality clash that was bound to explode.’

It sounds just like classic I’m A Celeb – and we love it.

I’m A Celebrity South Africa airs tonight at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
