Janella Salvador has neither confirmed nor denied whether she and actor Markus Paterson have gone their separate ways, only saying that they are happy “individually.”

While the actress did not elaborate on her relationship with Paterson, she stressed that she and Paterson are focusing on their son Jude. This she said during her appearance on the morning talk show “Magandang Buhay,” where she was asked by singer Regine Velasquez if she and Paterson are still a couple.

“Basta Ate Reg, masaya kami individually ngayon (Miss Reg, we are happy individually now)… Our focus is Jude. He is the priority,” Salvador answered.

Salvador added that being a mom has made her much happier and braver to try various things.

“I think my priorities talaga, different na… and kapag nahihirapan nga ako kunwari sa work, hindi ko siya nakakasama, iniisip ko na lang lahat ng ginagawa ko ay para sa kanya, para sa future niya,” she said.

(I think my priorities are very different now… and when I struggle at work, for example, and I do not get to spend time with him, I just think that everything I do is for him, for his future.)

Speculations that Salvador and Paterson broke up have been circulating since June, after fans noticed that they have not been posting photos of each other on their respective social media accounts.

At the time, Salvador said in an interview with Push TV that she and Paterson were “okay,” then asked for privacy amid the rumors.

Meanwhile, Salvador is set to appear as Valentina in the upcoming “Mars Ravelo’s Darna: The TV Series.” The series will premiere on Monday, Aug. 15.  /ra
