Jamie Oliver’s plans for vasectomy cancelled by wife

Jamie Oliver, 47, has shared that his wife Juliette “Jools” Oliver, 48, cancelled his appointment with his surgeon to the decision to undergo a vasectomy.

The TV chef shared that his visit to the doctor was cut short, but that he will return to undergo the procedure in the future.

Whilst the family share five children, and Jamie has expressed that he would like more time with his wife, it seems that Jools is not ready for the permanent procedure.

In 2012, the restaurateur revealed that Jools was interested in baby number five which Jamie was less keen on.

He revealed to The Mirror: “I sort of feel like we are just out of nappies now and I have got four kids and it’s more than enough.

“It’s quite hard to have time for each other when you have four kids so I don’t want another excuse for me and Jools not to have time together.”

Instead, the Essex-born star mentioned that he wanted to try more date nights although they “[weren’t] very good at it”.

Their youngest son, Rocket, six, was born in 2016 and joins the large family consisting of Poppy, 21, Daisy Boo, 20, Petal Blossom, 14, and Buddy Bear, 12.

The writer shared that in 2018 she wanted to try for baby number six.

Speaking on the Made By Mammas podcast, Jools had said she wanted to increase the family.

She also documented her fertility struggles from polycystic ovarian syndrome and her previous two miscarriages.

Although their current plans to have more children are uncertain, the loved-up couple recently renewed their vows in the Maldives, with their children attending as guests.

The couple met when they were 17 and have been in a relationship ever since.

Sharing the news via his Instagram account, Jamie wrote: “Morning all, me & @joolsoliver got married again!

“We thought it would be a special moment to celebrate renewing our wedding vows before the kids all start leaving the nest.”

He revealed: “It was really special, funny and romantic with the words in the ceremony making more sense having come this far together.”

After a difficult journey to have babies, the former model welcomed their first child in 2001 after a successful round of IVF treatment.

The Naked Chef host also revealed to Hello! that his wife had always wanted to be a mum.

“She just wanted to be a mother and that was it.”

In comparison, Jamie initially failed to understand given the couple’s busy jobs and careers.

He added: “Until she became a mother, I never understood how honest she was being. She’s a mum and that’s her world.”
