Jamie Lee Curtis plants kiss on godson Jake Gyllenhaal
Jamie Lee Curtis, 64, stole the show last night as she affectionately showed her support for godson Jake Gyllenhaal during their latest joint appearance.
The veteran actress came out in support of her fellow actor, 42, as he attended the premiere of his new film, The Covenant.
Jamie is close friends with Jake’s parents – director Stephen Gyllenhaal and screenwriter Naomi Foner – who also chose actor and director Paul Newman as their son’s godfather.
Jamie and Jake were all smiles and looks of complicity as they took to the red carpet holding hands in matching all-black outfits.
The Halloween actress looked elegant in a black trouser-suit, which she paired with a matching top underneath and pointed-toe pumps in the sea colour.

She completed the classic look with silver-rimmed glasses and a dainty silver chain necklace with a small pendant.
Jake, who plays US Army Sergeant John Kinley in the new film, also wore black for the occasion, pairing an open blazer with an oversized, relaxed t-shirt and matching shiny black dress shoes.
The joint appearance comes after Jamie won the Best Supporting Actress Oscar last weekend for her gripping role in Everything Everywhere All At Once.
The Hollywood star made an effort to champion diversity when she announced that her new Academy Award was to be gender-neutral.
The tearful star described the gong as having “they/them” pronouns in tribute to her transgender daughter, Ruby.
Appearing on the Today show last month, Jamie sobbed via live video link and stroked the trophy emotionally as she held it to her face.
Not only does the trophy mean a lot to her, but so does her relationship with Ruby, 27.
“Here they are! In support of my daughter Ruby, I’m having them be a they/them,” she announced, while gleefully holding the award up.
“I’m just going to call them ‘them’, they/them. And they are doing great. They are settling in!”
Prior to that, at the Oscars ceremony, in an emotional speech, Jamie suggested that the world is “nowhere near there” when it comes to recognising and celebrating diversity.
