Jamie Foxx reportedly ‘still not himself’ following mysterious health crisis

A source close to Jamie Foxx claimed Wednesday that the actor is “still not himself” after suffering a mysterious illness in April that landed him in the hospital.

“He is getting the best care and working hard to recover right now, but he is still not himself,” the unidentified source told People magazine. “He has the tightest circle around him.”

The news comes a mere hours after Foxx, 55, chatted with co-star John Boyega, 31, who had been trying to contact his friend several times.

“He finally picked up the phone. Thank you, bro,” the “Star Wars” actor told the outlet at the premiere of “They Cloned Tyrone,” which stars both Boyega and Foxx.

“He’s doing well. And then, you know, we just giving him the privacy, and we can’t wait for his return,” he said.

“I gave him the well-wishes directly. I gave him all the well-wishes,” continued Boyega. “So I’m just gonna be waiting until he comes back out here. So take your time, Jamie. We love you, bro.”

Datari Turner, who co-produced the film with Foxx, shared a sunnier update claiming that the “Spider-Man” actor would soon be back at work.

“He is getting the best care and working hard to recover right now, but he is still not himself," the unidentified source told People. "He has the tightest circle around him."

“He’s doing amazing. I promise you. Doing really, really good,” said Turner, 44. “[Director] Juel [Taylor] talked to him yesterday. John Boyega talked to him yesterday. He’s in really, really good shape and spirits. And he’ll be back on the screen. He’ll be back to work very soon.”

The Post reached out to Foxx for comment.

Foxx disappeared from the public eye on April 11 after he reportedly suffered a “medical complication” while filming Netflix action comedy “Back in Action” in Atlanta.

In late April it was revealed that the actor was "awake and alert" while doctors attempted to ascertain what medical ailment Foxx suffered.

“We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday,” the statement read. “Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery.
