Jamie Foxx doing better after health scare despite cause unknown

Jamie Foxx, 55, is said to be on the road to recovery after worrying Hollywood being hospitalised last week.

After the health scare, sources have told TMZ that Jamie is “doing a lot better” and is cracking jokes with his loved ones.

However, despite this, “doctors still need to get to the bottom of what happened” with many unanswered questions.

Foxx’s daughter Corinne took to Instagram last week to share an update on the Ray star’s wellbeing, writing: “We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday.

“Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery.

“We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.”

At the time of the incident, Foxx was in Atlanta shooting Back in Action, a Netflix comedy co-starring Cameron Diaz.

It marks Cameron’s first return to a film role in nearly 10 years.

The film also stars Fleabag’s Andrew Scott and Stath Lets Flats star Jamie Demetriou. It’s directed by Seth Gordon, whom Foxx previously worked with on Horrible Bosses.

In 2005, Foxx won best actor at the Oscars for his role as Ray Charles in the biopic, Ray.

He’s also starred in Django Unchained, Annie, Jarhead and the Spider-Man franchise.

Many famous stars have sent the well-known actor well-wishes online as he continues his recovery, including LeBron James.

He wrote on Twitter: “Sending my thoughts and prayers to the heavens above to my brother @iamjamiefoxx!!!! Get well and back to yourself SOONER THAN LATER! God willing.”

Kerry Washington, who starred alongside Jamie in Django, wrote: “A Jamie Foxx appreciation post. Sending you all the love and prayers my movie huzbin.” (sic)

Viola Davis also shared a get well soon message for Jamie: “Get well @iamjamiefoxx. We need you… your light, your brilliance.”

Jamie’s health scare comes weeks after he returned to the set of Back in Action after reports that he had a “meltdown” upsetting Cameron Diaz.
