Jamia Hamdard signs MoU with Dalhousie University, Canada – Times of India
New Delhi: Jamia Hamdard and Dalhousie University, Canada signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish an academic and research cooperation between the two Universities. The MoU signing ceremony took place on March 6, 2023, at Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi India. The objective of the MoU is to establish a collaborative Research & Degree program for the Nursing students of School of Nursing & Allied Health, Jamia Hamdard.
The MoU was signed by Prof. (Dr.) M. Afshar Alam, Vice Chancellor, Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi, and Mr. Matt Hebb, Vice President (Govt. and Global Relations), Dalhousie University, Canada.
Addressing the audience at the signing ceremony, Prof. M. Afshar Alam, Vice Chancellor, Jamia Hamdard, stated “All The academic programs at Jamia Hamdard are designed to prepare students to become global citizens. Both the institutions are motivated to take this collaboration further and engage in students training and innovative research aimed at addressing social needs”.
Echoing the sentiments, Mr. Matt Hebb, Vice President (Govt. and Global Relations) Dalhousie University, Canada said “The coming together of these two institutes of international repute will further increase the quality of research, education and opportunities for students and help them become global citizens”.
Dr. Prachi Kaul, Director, Director of Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute congratulated both the institute on this milestone and encouraged them for a fruitful and active collaboration.
The other dignitaries from Jamia Hamdard present during the occasion were Mr. Syed Saud Akhtar, Registrar, Prof. Manju Chhugani, Dean, School of Nursing Sciences and Allied Health, Prof. Farhan J. Ahmad, Dean, School of Interdisciplinary Sciences & Technology, Prof. Veena Sharma, Principal, School of Nursing, Jamia Hamdard, Ms. Seema Rani and Md. Tauhid Alam.
