James Corden branded ‘most obnoxious presenter’ by director
James Corden has been caught up in multiple controversies over the last few months, starting when a restaurant temporarily banned him after some alleged bad behaviour towards its staff.
Since the scandal, some of James’ former colleagues and coworkers have spoken out about their own experiences with The Late Late Show host, both good and bad.
Now, Craig Duncan, who directed a segment of an episode of A League Of Their Own, has become the latest critic of his behaviour, branding him one of the most difficult stars he’s ever had to work with.
James starred in the sports comedy series for nine years, and Craig worked episode three of season seven in the height of the show’s fame.
Craig explained in a video on his YouTube channel Fludded titled ‘Director slams James Corden’: “The most difficult and obnoxious presenter I’ve ever worked with is James Corden.”

In the clip, Craig explains had been asked to work on a Masterchef-style challenge scene for the show, directing Jack Whitehall, Freddie Flintoff, Jamie Redknapp and James.
The production company almost forewarned the director as they asked if he was “good at working with difficult presenters”.
Craig responded saying that he had worked with The Three Tenors before adding: “You can’t get much more prima donna than an opera singer.”
Regardless, they recommended Craig watch a rehearsal before deciding whether to take the role.
This is where the director claims he first saw signs of James’ alleged bad attitude as he rudely dismissed one of the jokes that was written for him saying: “That’s not funny. We have to rewrite that.”
When it came to the day of filming, Craig fawned over meeting James’ co-stars, declaring Freddie a “really lovely Northern lad”, Jack an “absolute delight” and Jamie a “totally unpretentious celebrity”.
Then, as the studio began to fill with people he got a “creeping sense of anxiety”.
He was warned that he only had James “for a certain amount of time” before he had to leave, but despite the time restraints it was “all going really well” for most of the filming.
Craig continued: “We get to the part where the chef has to pick the winner and we had like five or six minutes left. I got all the camera crew round to have a huddle to discuss how we’re going to shoot this in five minutes. We were working it out to save time.”
Referring to James, the director added: “Then old bug-a-lugs pipes up: ‘What the f**k is going on here?
“It’s obvious what you do! You put a camera there, camera there, camera there. He comes up, shows the dish, goes back to the table, he comes up, shows the dish… It’s so obvious how you shoot it! You’re stupid!’.”
Craig jokingly told James he was right, as that was already the plan for how to shoot the scene, and agreed to go along with it.
He concluded: “He was 45 minutes late from his schedule and I’d have had him done in six. So cheers James. You got your way, well done.
“I don’t care. I get paid at the end of the day and I hope I never ever work with you again.”
