James Buckley and Danny Dyer share boozy night out as they debut friendship
The 35-year-old actor uploaded a cosy snap of his night out with Danny, 45, to his Instagram account on Sunday.
Cuddling up to each other on a sofa, the two men clutched beer bottles as they posed for the adorable picture that captured the attention of thousands of fans.
James penned the caption: ‘How’s your weekend going?’ and amassed a flurry of responses as followers expressed their love for their bromance.
Actor Gary Lucy replied to the image and said: ‘Ain’t no better way to start ya monday than seeing this [sic].’
One fan jokingly typed: ‘Well, your weekend looks to be Dyer, to be fair [sic].’
‘The duo I never knew I needed,’ was a further comment left under the snap.
In the picture, James rested his head on Danny’s chest and closed his eyes while the EastEnders actor raised his beer and smiled for the camera.
The pair have appeared together in the past with Danny making a cameo in one of James’s YouTube videos in 2021.
During a clip filmed for the actor’s channel At Home With The Buckleys, Danny had hinted that he had tried to get a job for his friend however he has since left the BBC fixture after eight years.
Danny played Mick Carter, the owner of the Queen Vic and recently opened up about his departure on The Jonathan Ross show.
He told the talk show host: ‘It’s a very emotional thing, it’s such a big part of me.
‘I tell you what it is, I’m lazy… It’s f****** hard. 30 pages you’ve got to learn a day. It’s like a film a week.
‘[But] if it goes t*** up, I can go back. I can turn up in three years’ time and walk in the Queen Vic smothered in seaweed… they (the bosses) wanted to keep it open.
‘I’m very privileged and grateful for that job. It really did change my career and my life.’
The star is gearing up for the release of a new game show Cheat that will air on Netflix.
