Jake Paul’s wild bet with rival amid ugly feud

Known to make outlandish bets with his rivals, YouTube star turned boxer Jake Paul has flaunted his most outrageous wager yet.

Speaking during a press event to promote Sunday’s boxing headliner with MMA legend Anderson Silva, Paul coaxed his opponent into a deal which could see the pair meet in an epic kickboxing bout or heighten Paul’s longstanding feud with UFC president Dana White.

Towards the end of the presser, Paul shocked viewers when he proposed the deal to the Brazilian legend.

“I have a bet, I have a bet for you Anderson,” Paul said.

“Noooo,” Silva laughed in reply.

“Alright so, look,” Paul continued.

“If you win, I’ll give you something that you probably want …”

“No tattoos,” Silva interrupted.

“No, no tattoos,” Paul replied.

“If you win, I will fight you in an MMA fight.”

As Silva will go down as arguably one of the best MMA fighters of all time, Paul’s comment caused one of the other fighters present to call out.

“Wow,” Silva replied.

“You’re so smart because I don’t fight MMA anymore. You’re so smart. I got you.”

“Kickboxing?” Paul countered, offering what would be an alluring prospect for the fighter dubbed ‘The Spider’.

“OK. Kickboxing,” Silva agreed.

“But if I win,” Paul said, setting up for his final punchline.

“Me and you come together to create a united fighter’s association to help UFC fighters get better pay and better health care.

“You become the interim president.

“We unite to help these fighters once and for all.”

“Deal,” Silva said before the pair then rose to shake hands on the wager.

The pact rekindles the prolonged battle between Paul and White over fighter pay conditions and health care within the UFC – the world’s largest MMA promotion company.
