Jag E-Type that appeared in legendary Only Fools and Horses episode is for sale

A CLASSIC Jaguar E-Type that appeared in an infamous episode of Only Fools and Horses is up for auction.

The 1973 Jag is the very car Del Boy and Rodney borrowed from Boycie in the episode ‘Go West Young Man.’

Del Boy and Rodney used the car for a trip to London’s West End but ended up crashing.

Of course, no E-Types were hurt in the making of the episode so you can rest assured this example is in tip-top condition.

In fact, this famous motor is expected to fetch as much as £160,000 when it goes under the hammer with Hampson Auctions.

First registered in Britain in November 1973, the E-Type is finished in Old English White, trimmed in blue leather and rides on period-correct chrome wire wheels.

The odometer currently shows 80,075 miles from new, and the seller reckons its V12 engine, automatic transmission, bodywork, paintwork and upholstery are all in ‘good’ order.

As well as its low mileage, the car has only had two owners from new.

But it’s not just a car you’re getting – the E-Type is accompanied by a host of TV-related memorabilia.

These include a number of videos, signed photographs and even a scale model of the Jaguar autographed by Del Boy (Sir David Jason) and Boycie (the late John Challis).

The underside of the car’s boot lid has also been signed by Boycie.

The auction will take place on 29th November at Mavericks, dubbed North Wales’ mecca for classic car and motorcycle owners.
