Jack P Shepherd shares rare video of his kids as he admits struggles at Corrie

Corrie star Jack P Shepherd gave fans an unexpected glimpse into his family staycation in the English countryside via Instagram.

The actor has been staying at Ribblesdale Park, which is part of the Gisburne Park Estate in Lancashire, alongside his two children and girlfriend Hanni Treweek.

The star, 35, then went on to address one of his toughest moments while playing Coronation Street favourite David Platt.

Before reflecting on the “dark” scene from the ITV soap, Jack posted an idyllic video of his kids; a 14-year-old daughter named Nyla and a 10-year-old son named Reuben, both of whom he shares with his ex-fiancée, Lauren Shippey.

In the sweet post, Jack said watching his children enjoy their countryside surroundings reminded him of the classic 1991 Macaulay Culkin film My Girl.

Sharing rare footage of his children pushing each other on a swing underneath a huge tree, the star, who usually tends to keep his family life off social media, wrote: “Every moment in my life is a movie reference, I’m constantly finding them, My girl.”

“Kids love this one too.”

He added: “Found this swing right next to where we are staying at @ribblesdalepark. Boom.”

Jack previously shared footage of some cows investigating his sports car as his daughter watched their antics.

The soap star was then heard telling the farm animals to “bugger off” while clicking his fingers at them.

Meanwhile, on his Instagram Stories, Jack joined Corrie fans in marking the seven year anniversary of when his character David lost wife Kylie Platt (Paula Lane) in a tragic stabbing on the Cobbles.

He admitted that filming the heartbreaking scenes “took a lot out of me”, as he reflected on the moment of Kylie’s death.

Jack penned alongside a clip of the death scene: “A 3 week shoot that took a lot out of me to be fair.

“Had to think of dark things for a long time.

“Nice that people still think about it. Lovely comments,” the actor added, thanking Corrie fans for their kind words.
