Iza Calzado has announced that she has already given birth to her firstborn child with her husband, businessman Ben Wintle, since January but has decided to delay their announcement.

On Instagram, the “Encantadia” actress finally introduced her daughter who she named Deia Amihan, who was born last January 26, or a day after she announced that she and her husband would be taking a brief social media break to focus on the arrival of her baby girl.

“Words can’t describe the love we’re feeling as we introduce our precious baby girl, Deia Amihan Calzado Wintle. Born on January 26th, 2023, she’s already stolen our hearts and brought so much joy into our lives. We’re so grateful for the love and support from our family and friends, and can’t wait for all the adventures that lie ahead. Big love from our family to yours! [heart emojis],” Calzado said, using the hashtag #WintleHasArrived

She also included a picture of her baby, but with her face partially hidden, and her tiny fingers folded in prayer position.

During her maternity photo shoot, Calzado chose a Sang’gre Amihan-inspired getup, in honor of the main protagonist in the hit GMA-7 fantaserye, of which she was one of the original cast. As Amihan, she was given the power to be the guardian fairy of the blue “brilyante ng hangin,” and would eventually become the queen of the fictional kingdom of Lireo.

The actress then claimed that she was excited to meet and hug her “little one.”

Calzado, who tied the knot with Wintle in December 2018, confirmed that she’s expecting a baby on her 40th birthday. The actress then announced that she’s pregnant with a baby girl in November 2022 through an open letter to her late mother.
