IV of Spades members Zild Benitez, Blaster Silonga and Badjao De Castro were spotted with former bandmate Unique Salonga during a rehearsal of Eraserheads for its reunion concert.

The former bandmates’ “reunion” was captured by “Huling El Bimbo” concert director Paolo Valenciano, as seen on his Facebook page on Monday, Dec. 12.

“May nag-reunion dito sa rehearsals ng [Eraserheads] reunion (Somebody had their reunion here at the rehearsal of Eraserheads reunion). I swear, me right now,” Valenciano said, adding a mind-blown face and a face holding back tears emoji.

Speculations of IV of Spades’ participation in the reunion concert then immediately arose among fans, but Valenciano was quick to turn these down via the comments section.

“What if nasa [Eraserheads] concert sila? Talagang magsisisi akong ‘di pumunta. OMG! Baka reunion na rin nila ‘to,” one Mica Hazel Aniceto commented. (What if they are included in the Eraserheads concert? I would really regret not attending [the concert if that happens]. Oh my gosh! [The concert] might be their reunion as well.)

“No po, nanood lang sila ng rehearsal,” the concert director responded. (No, they just watched the rehearsal.)

In a separate comment, Valenciano admitted that he as well as Eraserheads drummer Raymund Marasigan got distracted when the four musicians arrived at the rehearsal venue.

The former quartet are known for their hit songs “Mundo,” “Hey Barbara,” “Captivated,” and “Come Inside Of My Heart,” among others. In 2018, Unique shocked fans by his sudden departure from the band to pursue a music career as a solo artist.

The trio then announced in August 2020 that they will be taking the “needed time off as a band” to pursue other personal interests.

Meanwhile, Eraserheads’ reunion concert will be held on Dec. 22  at SMDC Festival Grounds. EDV
