ITV The Chase viewers fuming as show is pulled off air because of horse racing
The Chase is an integral part of our weekday television schedule so viewers of the quiz show were left fuming on Tuesday evening (June 14) after the program ‘disappeared’. Some fans switched over to ITV at 5pm expecting to see host Bradley Walsh but were greeted by horse racing instead.
Both Tipping Point and The Chase are both missing from their regular spots on ITV. This is because the channel is airing ITV Racing Live: Royal Ascot from 1.30 pm to 6pm instead. Normally Tipping Point airs at 4pm every weekday evening and The Chase at 5pm every weeknight.
There is more bad news for quizzing fans as the shows will not be returning until Monday, June, 20. ITV will be showing the Royal Ascot coverage every day from Tuesday to Friday, June, 17.

Fans of The Chase couldn’t resist but to take to social media to air their frustrations. Over on Twitter, one person said: “Settled on the couch for #TheChase to be met with Royal Ascot.”
A second raged: “No The Chase cos some stupid horse race is on.”
A third wrote: “Where’s Bradders and The Chase? I don’t want to watch flippin racing! At least put one or the other on ITV2 or put The Chase on Challenge same as weekends”.
“Oh no, no Chase. I will have to watch tennis while eating my dinner.#TheChase”, stated another one.
The Chase will air next week at 5pm on ITV
