Irritable actor learns to keep his dissatisfaction to himself

Seasoned Thespian (ST) is best known for a wholesome image and a string of projects that perpetuate his likable “brand.” But Rushes Mole (RM) swears that ST isn’t really as affable as he seems. In fact, ST’s dirty mouth takes over when situations displease him.

In one religious project that is set in a “holy place,” RM recalls that ST had to work with Testy Director (TD) who has as bad a temper as ST’s. So while TD was giving instructions, ST was backstage muttering clearly audible insults at TD.

Unfortunately for ST, one of TD’s regular actors, Old Jester (OJ), was also backstage waiting for his cue—and OJ heard everything that ST said. So it wasn’t any surprise when the project moved on to its next leg without ST! Nobody was surprised at this development. Some things are better left unsaid, indeed.
