SORTING through your favourites on Netflix is about to get a whole lot easier on iPhone and Android devices.

The streaming giant is rolling out a free update to the app on both platforms.

Brand new filters on the My List section on iPhone and Android will start rolling out.

This includes rather helpful “Haven’t Started” and “Started” options so you know what you need to watch first.

Netflix fans can also choose to sort by release date, alphabetical order, movie or TV show, and when you added it to your list.

It’s quite a step up from the My List feature we’re already familiar with, which simply showed a long log of everything you’re added.

Android users will receive the update first, according to TechCrunch.

And iOS devices will follow over the next few weeks.

Another small but significant change is that viewers can now simply swipe across anything they want to delete from the list.

Before now you had to tap on it and faff through the show or movie’s page to uncheck it.

Elsewhere, you’ll notice a new Coming Soon row on the TV home screen to find the latest content.

All this comes hot on the heels of Netflix’s long-dreaded password sharing crackdown.

The firm is expected to announce that the strict new rules will come into force across the UK and US very soon.

Once launched, accounts used to watch stuff outside of the main household will be blocked unless you pay an extra fee.
